Ocean Shibori

Shibori is a centuries-old Japanese resist-dyeing technique where fabric is folded, twisted, bound, or compressed before being submerged in dye. The bound areas resist the dye, revealing intricate, organic patterns when released. Traditionally worked with indigo, each piece is entirely unique - a result of the hand-manipulation process that means no two garments are ever identical.
